World’s largest chemical enterprise BASF SE Ludwigshafen has erected a new office and conference building next to gate 2 of its headquarter. At a total space of 42.000 sqm. on 7 elevated and 2 basement storeys, numerous meeting and conference rooms with included translator boxes have been established next to 1300 office work stations. In order to gain a flexible and future oriented building structure, the office and conference rooms have been fitted with a combination of hollow and raised access floors. Due to the intense and varying installation, all technical rooms and translator boxes have been fitted with raised access floors only. For parking a facade cleaning machine, a heavy duty floor with a point load of 20.000 N has been installed at the top level.
