Sign Gantry in MERO-KK system
On the German motorway 3 Nürnberg-Regensburg between the junction Neumarkt-Ost and junction Velburg, a nationwide unique pilot project for “compact truck parking” was realized. Two rows each for truck parking are interlinked in South-East direction, and by means of a telematics system the departure times for the clearance of each parking row are determined.
Thus, scarce space can be used effectively, without wasting it.
The MERO system was sublimely adaptable to the required free span of 50 m. The sign gantries are realized in KK System. The system height is one meter, with a module of 1.5 m x 2.0 m. 120 sqm are cladded with perforated plates. MERO was in charge of the structural analysis, supply and erection.
