The Schaeffler Group has established a 4000 sqm. high-tech education center for app. 300 industrial and commercial trainees as well as students of dual courses at their Schweinfurt location.
In order to ensure the flexibility in retrofitting of electric and data cables for the highly engineered and digitalized machinery, the technology company decided to use a combination of MERO raised access and hollow floors.
At the area of machinery workstations, a heavy duty hollow floor with a point load of 15 kN has been installed and covered with rubber coating.
Because next to flexibility, design played a vital role for this modern learning environment, a heavy duty raised access floor of 10 kN with a 3 row parquet, slat natural oak in an oiled finish has been installed at the meeting areas.
