We refer to systems in which the base layer consists exclusively of calcium sulfate (gypsum fiber) as heavy-duty functional floors for dry hollow floors. Single-layer systems have a sheet lamination on the underside.
The individual panels are bonded together on site in a 600 x 600 mm grid using a low-emission PU adhesive and glued to supports, creating a flat substrate for a variety of floor coverings. In 2-layer systems, a second layer is applied on top of the first layer in the adhesive bed. The systems are mainly used in foyer areas of office and administration buildings to support e.g. elevating platforms or scissor lifts, production areas of e.g. pharmaceutical companies, and generally areas where high loads are transported or placed.
The load capacity is between 8,000 and 25,000N according to DIN EN 13213. Depending on the type, metallic laminations of the panels are necessary on the top and/or bottom side. Double-layer systems are also suitable for accommodating sensitive, rigid top coverings due to the low deflection.
