The new Campus of one of the world leaders in 3D printing of metal parts has been fitted with MERO floor systems.
The steel floor at the showroom area has been specially developed for the clients’ requirements.
It combines maximum flexibility with high load bearing, e.g. for the very heavy 3D metal printing machines.
To avoid even the slightest vertical movement during load changes of particularly sensitive machines, single panels maybe replaced by special ones prior to installing the exhibits, allowing a maximum vertical deflection of 0.2 mm during load increase from 15 to 25 kN.
The complex substructure of the MERO Type 3 Dynamic system is forming a rigid grid in the just 50 mm thick panel level, allowing a maximum cavity area.
The necessary air ventilation is realized with heavy-duty air conditioning panels at the facades of the app. 2000 m² area.
To avoid additional ingress of humidity into the building and because of a tight schedule, the choice of flooring in the administrative area fell to a dry hollow floor.
With the time of screed drying saved, the following contract workers have been able to use the spaces directly after installation of the hollow floor.
The hollow floor structures have been customized for the respective floor coverings (floor tiles, parquet, stone) to combine functional integrity and economic efficiency.
Necessary flexibility has been realized with access floor channels and floor tanks.
