A canopy in the shape of a “flying carpet” is the salient feature of a memorial at Nigde visible from a long distance. The roof area consists of a single layer wavy shell structure spanning between two edge supports. The troughs of the waves are executed with heatable glass panes in order to assure an unimpeded view even during snowfall.
