Sustainability

Reduce emissions.Recycle materials.Conserve resources.

MERO-TSK takes responsibility for ecological construction and thereby makes a significant contribution to the preservation of nature and the environment.

We consistently implement the impulses from ecological responsibility in the further development of our products with regard to the constantly growing requirements for sustainable ecological construction.
Der Blaue Engel, Cradle to Cradle, the DGNB Navigator of the German Sustainable Building Council, the Assessment System for Sustainable Building (BNB) and the Emicode, GISCODE and LEED seals are certifications and signposts for ecological building materials are taken into account for our product range and are complying with the majority of our products.

The use of low-emission adhesives and purifiers is a priority for us. Solvent-free dispersion adhesives with the "Blauer Engel" certificate have been introduced. Polyurethane adhesives were partially replaced by silane-modified polyethers (SMP).
Furthermore, a bio-PU adhesive was established in the area of flooring adhesion. A hot-melt adhesive, which has a significantly lower processing temperature, was permanently integrated into the production process. This results in significant energy savings.
These adjustments not only reduced solvent emissions, but also the application quantities and thus adhesive consumption by up to 30 %.

Diesel-powered forklifts at the Prichsenstadt production site are gradually being replaced by electric forklifts, most of which are now in use.
By switching from exhaust air to recirculated air in 2023 in one production hall, the need for heating energy was reduced by more than 30%.
Since 01st of January 2024, only "green" electricity has been purchased, which demonstrably comes from renewable sources.
For the years 2024 and 2025, a CO2 compensation of 170 tons was generated as part of the Cradle to Cradle recertification.

Through a consistent approach and with the involvement of upstream suppliers, by taking back building materials, recycling and partial thermal utilization, the amount of waste has been significantly reduced and resources conserved. The Öko-Institut's "CO2 and Sustainability Report" certifies that we saved 417 tons of CO2 in 2023, which corresponds to more than 60% of the heating oil-based CO2 emissions in 2023.

With our strong awareness of sustainable construction, these improvements are our contribution to environmental protection. The responsibility for the production of ecological building products and the establishment of environmentally friendly manufacturing processes are the basis of our constant efforts to make a contribution to people and nature.
